NEW: Scannable Barcodes on Every Receipt

Every Doubleknot receipt now displays a scannable barcode for the order number. With this new feature, you can scan the barcode to pull up an order in Sales Station POS and Sales Station Mobile POS. When the order is displayed in Sales Station, you can:

  • Accept payment for any balance due. Your staff can accept outstanding payments for special events, tours, classes and camp registrations when the customer arrives. Just tap the button to add the order to the cart, and the outstanding balance due is displayed on the register.
  • Add to the registration or reservation. After you pull up the order in Sales Station, you can add new items. So, if a family wants to add another camp session or sign up for after-care, you can add it to their existing registration and accept payment on the spot.
  • Cancel the registration or reservation. Sales Station’s refund features lets you cancel and refund payments, registrations and reservations easily, without slowing down the line.

Scanning receipt barcodes requires a supported Socket Mobile 2D Bluetooth scanner. Click here for a list of supported equipment.

NOTE: By the way, if you’re not using a scanner with Sales Station, you can still look up orders, change orders and accept payment—just enter the order number with the keypad.

If you have any questions about how scanning receipt barcodes can help you deliver excellent customer service, contact us at Doubleknot@doubleknot.com.

Understanding Price Groups and Payment Schedules

With summer camp registration and property reservations starting soon (or already in progress!), we recommend reviewing the procedures for setting price groups and payment schedules. These powerful tools ensure that your registrants are charged the correct costs and have flexible payment options.

To learn how to use Price Groups/Schedules effectively, the following resources are available:

  • Online help. To view the searchable online help, click Help at the top of any Doubleknot page. To make the Price Groups/Schedules information easy to find, there’s a special section on the Contents page.
  • Printable manuals. To view all printable Doubleknot documentation, click User Manuals in the Administer panel. The following updated user briefs contain instructions for using the Price Groups/Schedules feature. In addition, the information is included in the Creating and Editing Calendar Activities Events User Guide and the Creating and Editing Programs User Guide, which provide comprehensive documentation for each module.
    • Setting Up and Assigning Price Groups for Calendar Activity Events (User Brief)
    • Setting Up and Assigning Price Groups for Programs (User Brief)
    • Changing Facility Prices on Scheduled Dates (User Brief)
    • Changing Membership Prices on Scheduled Dates (User Brief)

And, if you’re using payment schedules, don’t forget to set up custom payment reminders! For more information, review the Event Payment Reminders user brief on the User Manuals page or the instructions in the online help.
